8. In 1990, citizens of the USA spent $37.7 billion dollars on pharmaceutical drugs. By 1997 that figure had ballooned to $78.9 billion dollars. Can’t wait to see the 2007 result.

9. Cow’s milk contains powerful growth hormones designed to raise a calf from 90 pounds at birth to over 1000 pounds at physical maturity two years later. In comparison, humans are born at approximately 6-8 pounds and reach physical maturity at 100-200 pounds 21 years later.
