Galadriel A Character

Galadriel is a character shadow of legendarium created by the writer British J. R. R. Tolkien, who appears in his novels, The Silmarillion and The Lord of the Rings. It is an Elf of the royal line of Noldor, daughter of Finarfin and sister of Finrod Felagund.

It is considered one of the greatest of the Eldar, with Feanor and Luthien. Its role and importance have emerged as and when the story and suffered continuous readjustments. It is therefore very difficult to reconcile all the highlights of the history of the character.

His desire for power led him to join the exile of the Noldor in Middle Earth, promoted by his uncle Feanor in recent years of the Trees. In Middle-earth, it lies in the realm of Doriath, where she receives instruction Melian. Refusing to return to Valinor at the end of the First Age, even the forgiveness of the Valar, it remains in Middle-earth with her husband Celeborn, and after a while, the couple settled in the forest of Lothlorien, where they become lords until the end of the Third Age; Lorien elf becomes a haven, protected by Nenya, the ring given by Galadriel Celebrimbor. During the War of the Ring, Galadriel offers hospitality to the Fellowship of the Ring, and the conflict ended, she moved to theWest.

J. R. R. Tolkien conceived the character of Galadriel in the writing of Lord of the Rings, and subsequently added to the texts of the Silmarillion. Tolkien considered several versions of the story of Galadriel, which have many differences on issues such as reasons for his departure to Aman and his refusal to come back and when he met with Celeborn (and the identity of it) or his peregrinations in Middle Earth before its establishment in Lothlorien. The Silmarillion published in 1977 smooth these difficulties by presenting a single version of events, Christopher Tolkien has subsequently detailed the hesitations of his father in Unfinished Tales, where he writes that “nowhere in the history of Middle Earth, we would encounter many difficulties in the story of Galadriel and Celeborn “.

Galadriel appears in several adaptations of Lord of the Rings, including the film directed by Ralph Bakshi, the film trilogy from Peter Jackson, the radio series for BBC Radio, the video game The Battle for Earth’s environment II.
