Motorola Pushes New Windows Cell phones

According to media reports ,on Thursday, Motorola announced it will introduce a new type cell phone ES400 using the Windows Mobile 6.5. In the conference of ES400 Enterprise Digital Assistant (EDA) equipment product, Motorola said the phone will start selling in September this year.

As we all know, with Google Android and Apple iPhone cell phone operating system quickly adopted by a large number of handset manufacturers, the development of Microsoft Windows Mobile operating system has lagged behind the market-wholesale cell phones for sale. Microsoft said the company plans to release updated for Windows Mobile 6.5 Enterprise Edition later this year and named operating system upgraded Windows Embedded Handheld.

Recently, the president of Motorola’s Mobile Communications Company, Gene Delaney said, the new ES400 EDA will be converged mobile, communications and task processing etc the latest features, and will not affect the performance and design of cell phones, enabling users be able to run its functions and access to information through the One Touch. The research director of Market research firm Current Analysis, Avi Greegart said that Motorola has a long history of Windows Cell phones for the enterprise market, and ES400 is a business phone, the target customer base is on-site workers and warehouse management.

In addition, Greegart also noted that Microsoft plans to release the Windows Embedded Handheld is a operating system in the middle of the Windows Mobile 6.5 and Windows Phone 7.

It is understood that Motorola ES400 will include a 3-inch color touch screen, 3 buttons, built-in biometric fingerprint reader, high-resolution 3.2 million pixel auto focus camera, and compatible with Motorola’s mobile security suite and mobile service platform, can resist shock and exposure dust, the ability to protect from moisture and rain.
