The electric powered guns are said to be much superior to the spring guns as they are able to achieve greater projectile velocities of fired pellets.

The final group the gas guns use pressurized gas as the means of propulsion. These guns can use quite a number of gases among which include the most popular green gas, red gas carbon dioxide, nitrogen, and high-pressure air. Red gas is able to achieve the greatest pressure and thus achieves the highest projectile velocities, which has resulted in it being banned in some states as a safety precaution. The gas guns can both be automatic and semi-automatic. One advantage of using a gas gun is that a user can adjusted the velocity something that makes them safe at some instances.
